Designed by Julian Zimmermann and NikolaiMänttäri, BfB Baroque Beginner™ mouthpieces offer a more authentic option for trumpeters wanting to develop historical playing technique.
Available in brass and silver plating, with a historic flat rim and cup diameter options of 18mm (medium) or 19.5mm (large). Made with a modern trumpet shank, the BfB Baroque Beginner™ is ideal for use with both the BfB Baroque™ and BfB Natural Trumpet™.
Pickett Tromba C1 mouthpiece
The Pickett Tromba C1 (Clarino 1) is a classic take on the Baroque trumpet mouthpiece. It has a 16.9 mm cup diameter with a large volume bowl similar to a 1C, a flat yet slightly modified rim, and a #22 throat.
The Tromba 1 offers excellent response when playing with vents, and provides more flexibility than a modern trumpet mouthpiece when playing without vents (as a natural trumpet). The Tromba C1 was named by, and is played by Baroque trumpet artist Josh Cohen.
