Brass for Beginners® is far more than a method or instrument, it is comprehensive brass education. The curriculum, "Around the World in Twenty-One Trumpets," invites students into a sound-world that tells the fascinating story of lip-blown instruments and their significance throughout human history, making learning brass an engaging and meaningful experience for both students and their teachers.  

Brass for Beginners® expands access to learning brass! Its extensive teaching resources, including assessments, curriculum maps, and lessons plans, make it accessible for teachers of all backgrounds.

Although "Around the World in Twenty-One Trumpets" is designed for late elementary general music (3-5th grade), its content and resources provides enough intellectually engaging material to be used for secondary, post secondary, and lifelong learning programs.

The Brass for Beginners® primary teaching tool is a newly manufactured natural trumpet designed for the classroom. Light and easy to hold with no moving parts, the BfB Natural Trumpet™ is the ideal instrument for beginners at any age, as well as for brass players that want to expand their understanding of lip-blown instruments.

The instrument is especially inviting for teachers without a brass background, students with special needs, and adult learners. Using the natural trumpet puts the focus on development of aural skills and basic technique, which are both fundamental for success on any modern brass instrument.
