BfB Tubes™ are an effective classroom tool for helping students understand the nature of lip-blown instruments on the most basic level. They can be used to demonstrate how length effects pitch, as related to Ragnar's discoveries in "Chapter 1" of Around the World in Twenty-One Trumpets.
BfB Tubes™sound very much like bone trumpets, making them an excellent low-cost substitute forBfB Bones™.
To use as a substitute for BfB Horns™, insert a plastic funnel in the end. This demonstrates how a conical profile helps the sound to radiate more efficiently.
BfB Tubes™ are made from BPA-free, food compliant nylon tubing, and coated with a non-toxic sealant on the mouth-end. (Try a bottle of Steri-Spray to avoid spread of germs)
BfB Tubes™ come in a set of three, pitched at G3, C4, and Eb4. When played together they form a 2nd-inversion C-minor chord (Spooky!).
Returns/refunds forBfB Tubes™are only accepted in the case of defects in workmanship of damage from normal use; that is, using them to make trumpet noises!
